Season 2017 - 2018.

The Club are already considering our needs for the forth coming season.

The Club did well at all levels with the firsts completing a third consecutive Division North Championship  and also adding the elusive North Wales Cup to our trophy cabinet. The Seconds have quietly gone about their business and have secured a place in Division 3 North next season. Our Youths finished the season strongly. The Juniors sides, as always worked hard, and the Club is developing strongly in the younger age groups. This is success is based on the commitment and hard work of the many coaches, managers ,officials and parents who are actively involved in progressing Junior rugby locally.

The Club Committee met this week and have decided to publish areas where we need your help if we are to  continue at the present rate of development.
It starts at the top. It is acknowledged that we have too many old farts on the Committee and we need new blood to prepare for the future. This is an opportunity to have your say and make a meaningful difference to rugby here on the Lleyn. If interested or you simply want to know more speak to Ken, Bryn, Glyn, Brian and any of the other current Committee members.
For match days there are a number of tasks that need to be undertaken and we would like to broaden the base of helpers.
For example we need to deliver about twenty posters to local shops and pubs. Not a big job in itself and only necessary on home for First matches - so about 12 times a year- but it lessens the load .
Manning the gate for home matches has been the responsibility of 2/3 guys for the past few years. Could you assist for a couple of games?
We prepare a programme insert for each home game. Can anyone be available to translate into Welsh please. I try but my grammar is lacking.
Fancy  cutting a few acres of grass? We have the venue for you! Etc. Etc.

If you have any experience of running a membership system your input would be very beneficial.

We would be happy to sert you up on officially sanctioned training courses on First Aid, Refereeing and Coaching. You would need a DBS if this involved junior teams. Again we would arrange this with you.

If time is at a premium for you perhaps you may want to consider investing financially in the future of rugby on the Lleyn. Over the years we have invested many thousands in the infrastructure of the Club. The programme is continuing. We are currently installing new floodlights on the first team pitch. This is not a cheap venture but overdue. Once this is completed there are plans in hand to improve the lighting on the second pitch. It is hoped this work will be finished before the autumn.

In conjunction with Robin Llyr's parents and Mark Roberts the Club have had planning permission to substantially redevelop the stand. It will be extended either end.The central area is to be raised and seats installed. We hope this will be a fitting memorial for a young man who died far too young.

There are many options you may wish to consider if you are able to financially support the Club.
.
The Vice Presidents scheme provides the Club with a solid foundation of funds. For £150 a year the Club offers  Club membership, free entry to all home matches, invitations to Club events including the Annual Smoker. Most importantly it gives you a guarantee of purchasing a ticket for any of Wales' home matches at the Principality Stadium - at face value. Two V.P.s would guarantee a pair of adjacent seats at one of the most well known stadiums in the world.

Our annual match programme is one of the best in Wales. Hundreds of copies of the 56 page programme are sold each year and make their way throughout North Wales rugby clubs. Adverts are sold on a quarter page, half page or full page format. It is seen by thousands of people over the course of the season. Costs are £35 quarter page ,£50 for a half page  and £100 for a full page. Plus VAT.

Our 8' x 2 ' pitch side hoardings are also popular and effective. Our  recent move from plastic to lightweight metal makes them far more durable. Our supplier -Seaside Signs - is able to reproduce any logo or script to meet your needs. £100 to set up and £100 a year rental.
The range of main and match day sponsors is extensive. All involve making match tickets available and this is combined with publicity on our popular website and the Club Twitter. The scheme starts from £250 per annum.

The fourteen teams we run are always on the look out for potential sponsors for their kit. Again details on request.

The task of funding the teams is ongoing. The cost of equipment is high but we have tried to ensure that players have not lacked the equipment they need.

Contact Wil Martin for an initial informal discussion.
Thank you.
